Led by the Falcons Football coaching staff, we are offering 4 FREE days of off-season training tailored to skill development in specific age groups.

The goal of this camp is to provide an enjoyable learning experience in a safe and structured environment that benefit the player in both football specific skills and better overall health.

 

Location:

  • Fort Sask Senior High - 10002 - 97 Ave - Fort Saskatchewan, AB

Dates:

  • February 8, 2020
  • February 22, 2020
  • March 7, 2020
  • March 21, 2020

Times:

  • Atom/PeeWee (Under 13) 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM  
  • Bantam/High School (13+) 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM 

Breakdown:

 

Period 1 (Fitness Training) - 45 Mins

 

ATOM/PEEWEE

 

  • 30 mins Age level Fitness Training.  Body Weight Centered.  

  • Supplemented through available Resistance/Training Aids
  • Station Group/Team Rotations in timed intervals and rests.
  •  15 Mins Football Specific Footwork (General and Positional)

 

BANTAM/HIGH SCHOOL

 

  • 30 mins Age level Fitness Training.  Body Weight Centered.  
  • Supplemented through available Resistance/Training Aids
  • Station Group/Team Rotations in timed intervals and rests.
  •  15 Mins Football Specific Footwork (General and Positional)

 

SCHEDULE:

  • 5 mins warm up - Laps (Jog), Stretch, Jumping Jacks
  • 20 mins - Bootcamp style workout (FITT KIDS)
  • Body weight exercises,  (squats, lunges, push ups, planks, mountain Climbers, burpees, core exercises, etc.)
  • Partner Work
  • focus on fun exercises (Frog jumps, inch worms etc)
  • Introduce a  variety of styles ( timed work and rest, set number of each exercises in different sets, set up different stations and rotate)
  • Incorporate a combination of strength and cardio to condition whole body
  • 10-15 mins - Transition into football footwork and movement skills
  • 5 Mins - Cool down and stretching

SCHEDULE:

 

 

  • 5 Mins warm up - Laps (Jog), Stretch, Jumping Jacks
  • 30-35 Mins combination of strength, cardio and football footwork (Higher Intensity)
  • Introduction of different styles of workouts (Longer timed work and rest, increased numbers of sets and increased intensity
  • Body weight exercises (More advanced Movement and Partner work
  • Greater focus on endurance for both strength and cardio and staying disciplined
  • 5 Mins Cool down and stretching

 


 

 Period 2 (Football Skill & Drills) - 45 mins

 

  • Offense/Defense Days Segmented into (Run Game Day)(Pass Game Day)
  • Specialist Day Focus on Specialist Skills (Kicking/Punting/Long Snapping/Holding)
  • Team Day Focus on Bringing everything together into Team/Unit Drills
  • Skills Selected by Coaches based on the Day’s Focus.
  • Practice Plans in Place
  • High Place Execution
  • Optimize Time
  • Challenging and Fulfilling
